Open Source

Open Source is the name of the development practice whereby the developer shares all of his source code with the public. This usually precludes payment, so developers are sometimes asking for donations.

There are several Licenses to chose from when publishing software code as Open Source. Some give the finder unlimited rights, some require attribution and some require that all changes made to the code have to be fed back to the original authors.
