Hamish Allan

Hamish Allan is an iOS software engineer living in Edinburgh, UK and working for Olive Toast.

[edit] Biography

Hamish started programming at the age of 9, first in BASIC on the ZX81 and ZX Spectrum, then RSTS/E BASIC-PLUS on the PDP11/70 and 68000 assembler on the Atari ST. At university he ran Debian linux on x86 and learned a broad range of languages before settling primarily on OS X and latterly iOS as his platform of choice.

He has a first class honours degree from St Andrews University in Computer Science and an MSc with distinction from Edinburgh University in Artificial Intelligence.

He is also married with two children, a dog and a cat.
